In her visionary work Martina Hoffmann taps into
her inner visions for guidance and inspiration. Her process of exteriorization
and manifestation is stream of consciousness. Hoffmann sees painting
as a form of deep meditation during which a wealth of imagery, symbols
and emotions are coming through in wavelike patterns. These impressions
will remain completely unjudged or unfiltered until one image will ring
so true that she has no choice but to manifest it on canvas. The artist
primarily sees herself as a 'translator' for these visions.
